Half day orientation tour by Caleches (horse-drawn carriages):

A very popular and fun mean of transportation typical of Marrakech.

Marrakech dates back as far as the year 1070 and several monuments stand out as landmarks in the course of its history.
The Koutoubia Mosque, sister tower to Seville's Giralda, the minaret of which has become the symbol of the city.
The Bahia Palace (19th century), a splendid Moroccan Palace, covered with marble, gold and multicoloured onyx. It boasts a beautiful indoor garden planted with orange and jasmine trees, fabulous lounges and living quarters.
The delightful Majorelle's Botanical Gardens are planted with giant bamboo, yucca, papyrus, palm, cypress and banana trees, philodendrons and bougainvilleas. They were laid out in the 1920's by the French artist Jacques Majorelle. Amid this luxuriant vegetation he built a large studio as well as a number of pergolas and arbours which he decorated in a disconcertingly bright shade of blue. After the artist's death in 1962, the gardens were abandoned but were restored later on by the French couturier Yves Saint-Laurent. Today the property houses a museum of Islamic art as well.
